Bjelasnica is a mountain in central Bosnia and Herzegovina, part of Dinaric Alps. Neighboring mountains are Igman on the north side, which is practically leaning on Bjelasnica, Treskavica and Visocica. Bjelasnica is covered with snow from November to May, and sometimes in the summer. The average annual temperature is only 0.7 °C, due to extremely low winter temperatures. The highest temperature reaches 24 °C, and the lowest -41 °C. In summer it is covered with green grass, and in winter and up to 3 m high with snow. As part of the XIV Winter Olympic Games – Sarajevo 1984 on Bjelašnica, in the area of Babin Do, were built many sports and tourist facilities, which are still used today.
